CEEPS East 2006 Workshops

Our biggest drawing card is still our conference format.  However Virtual Space is a tough sell to the uninitiated: How do you promote a workshop-based symposium when no workshops or presenters are pre-announced?

2006 saw our introduction of what we called Enhanced Virtual Space.  Without compromising the power of creating sessions in-the-moment and in response to specific needs, we gathered a group of practitioners who were willing to commit to particular session topics ahead of time.  This helped with our overall CEEPS promotion, and allowed folks to see some names and faces of people they could expect to hear from at the conference.

We also added our first Master Practitioner Forum, largely as an enticement to established practitioners to come out and share their wealth of knowledge.  In return, we held a small intensive forum before the main CEEPS event.  The highlight of the Master Practitioner Forum was a session on Corporate Identity, Branding, and Strategy, presented by Hillary Caters and Jeff Hardy from the Caters Hardy Design Studio.

The following is an overview of the sessions for the main symposium, both the prepared ones and the sessions that were unveiled (and sometimes created!) on our first morning:
